More information: My passion for birth and babies was sparked when I was just a young girl. I would watch in awe while my lactation consultant aunt would tenderly help new mothers breastfeed their little ones. I knew somehow that I would grow up to help new moms too. Over the last ten years I have been attending births as a doula, midwife assistant and friend. I am the mother of two amazing children (ages 13 and 7) who were breastfed extensively despite numerous challenges. I am an advocate of homebirth, though I have attended many hospital births as well. I am comfortable and experienced working with couples and single moms of all types of backgrounds and orientations. I have completed two apprenticeships in herbal medicine and have studied extensively with various teachers in the field.
