Delays and cancellations have become a common sight at UK airports this summer, with airlines announcing further cuts to flights this week. Brexit has been blamed for much of the chaos, with Ryanair chief executive Michael O’Leary warning turmoil at airports will continue “right throughout the summer” due to Brexit-related staff shortages, as well as “Government mismanagement” and a sluggish recovery from Covid.
