Someone else fumed: “Just when you think Labour has sunk to its lowest, another ill-educated Labour MP commits another corker.”
A fourth person simply said: “Just shows why Labour can’t get elected.”
While a fifth added: “Even an MPs salary can’t buy class.”
Others called for Ms Nicols to “get another job” and resign from her position as MP for Warrington.
The Express.co.uk reader wrote: “Would that be shopping on the money from your large salary and expenses which the taxpayer, including a large number of Royalists, have to pay?
“You are in Parliament at our expense and taken an oath of allegiance to the Crown.
“Do us and your Warrington constituents a favour and get another job where you can go shopping at your own expense.”
Another echoed the sentiment and said: “Depressing that someone given the honour to represent their fellow citizens in Parliament should display such immaturity, lack of judgement and lack of respect.”
