Nicola Sturgeon was told that the “time for reflection has passed” as she was quizzed on the lack of information that was given to the committee. Ms Baille stated that the committee sent “endless letters” to Scotland’s Deputy First Minister, John Swinney, requesting to see the legal advice the Scottish Government received.
The Labour MSP said: “Let me say to the First Minister that the time for reflection has actually passed.
“We have been asking for this information for months, there have been two votes in Parliament that as far as I can recall you were present for.
“Two votes in Parliament demanding the release of legal advice.
“There were endless letters from this committee to John Swinney your deputy asking to see legal advice.
“We did not want to see it all, we wanted to see Counsel’s opinion.
“We wanted to see the notes where Counsel was involved in providing advice to the ministers, to whoever.
“We have not got that today, we simply do not have it.”
