Denver skies will be mostly sunny Friday before a chance for afternoon rain showers and thunderstorms, forecasters said.
The high temperature will be about 71 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
There’s a 20% chance of rain and thunder after 3 p.m. Southwesterly winds could gust up to 20 mph, the NWS said.
On Saturday it will be mostly sunny with a high temperature of about 69 degrees. Winds are expected to change from a southwesterly to a northerly flow in the afternoon. Wind gusts can reach 21 mph, the NWS said.
Rains could start falling early Easter morning and then snow is expected after 1 a.m., forecasters said. Temperatures will drop to around 20 degrees. It will be blustery with wind gusts of up to 22 mph.
There’s a 90% chance of precipitation and between 1-3 inches of snow could accumulate early Sunday morning, according to forecasters.
The high temperature on Easter will be around 28 degrees. The chance for snow will taper off from 90% during the day to 50% percent at night.
Every day between Monday and Thursday there will be a chance for snow in Denver, forecasters said.
High temperatures will gradually increase from 37 degrees on Monday to 53 on Thursday, the NWS said. Low temperatures will be in the teens and 20s.
