Thunderstorms are possible in Denver on Tuesday afternoon and evening but sunny skies and a high temperature pushing 70 degrees is expected Wednesday.
There’s a 40% chance of rain and thunderstorms in the city Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Denver’s high temperature should hit about 64 degrees as winds out of the southwest top out at 5 mph.
On Tuesday night, there’s a slight chance of thunderstorms before 9 p.m., then a slight chance of showers until midnight. The chance for precipitation is 20% and the overnight low will drop to 40 degrees under partly cloudy skies.
Skies over Denver will be sunny on Wednesday and the high temperature will be 69 degrees, according to the weather service. Winds will gust to about 17 mph.
Showers and thunderstorms are back in the forecast on Thursday as the high temperature hits 68 degrees under partly sunny skies. The chance for precipitation is 60%.
In the mountains, unsettled weather is expected through Sunday, except on Wednesday, according to the weather service. Wednesday should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature of 52 degrees in Vail.
Mountain showers and storms will be possible each afternoon through Sunday, except on Wednesday.
