A dog was filmed being brutally hanged to death by a sick man dangling it by its lead.
Car park CCTV caught the horrific case of animal cruelty earlier this month in the east Las Vegas valley, Nevada, US.
Carlos Fonseca Jr. has been arrested in connection to the hanging as the red streaks in his hair matched those of the person caught on video, an arrest warrant states.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police (LVMPD) said detectives found a dog hanging from a fence near Nellis Boulevard and Vegas Valley Drive on October 4.
A check of security footage revealed the suspect walked the animal into the car park on a lead and then hanged it.
Fonseca's arrest warrant states he was on parole for battery with a deadly weapon and lied to his parole offices about his whereabouts after LVMPD publicised the video, 3News reports.
The 27-year-old was taken into custody at Clark County Detention Center on Tuesday while he faces charges for the dog's hanging.
Court documents state Fonseca is on trial for four counts of wilful or malicious torture and killing of an animal, along with violation of parole.
He will appear at court on Monday.
