The fiancee of a man who murdered a teenager Connor Lyons has been slammed over a Jesy Nelson-themed tribute to her partner.
On Friday (November 12) Cole Jarvis was sentenced to life in prison, for the murder of 17-year-old Connor Lyons in January, when he dumped his body in the River Hull.
The 22-year-old must serve a minimum of 24 years before he becomes eligible for release, as reported by Hull Live.
But Javis’ fiancee has stuck by the killer. Posting a tribute to her partner on social media, she wrote 'can't wait to see you and give you a massive cuddle and kiss'.
Along with the message, she posted lyrics from former Little Mix singer’s Jesy Nelson’s latest song ‘Bad Boy’: "The hold that you got should be criminal. My mama won't see what I see in ya. But I don't want it if it ain't bad enough".
Other lyrics from the song featuring rapper Nicki Minaj include: "You know I like a bad, bad boy. I like a bad boy, you can't stop me. I love bad boys for life."
The post prompted a series of angry responses from people believed to be linked to the victim.
At Hull Crown Court, Javis pleaded not guilty to Connor’s murder, forcing his family to sit through a trial, and hear the harrowing details of his death.
The court heard how he had strangled Connor following an argument in January after months of an on-off friendship in which the victim had been bullied and belittled.
Ultimately the jury and judge rejected his plea and found him guilty, but as Jarvis was taken down to his cell from the docks he winked to his family.

In September while Javis was remanded in custody, his fiancee wished him a ‘happy birthday’ on social media. In the post she described him as her "best friend", adding that she would "see him soon".
"I know you're not here to celebrate it but I promise as soon as your home [sic] I'll make it up to you," she wrote.
"I love you forever and always no matter what."
After Jarvis was found guilty at his trial and was waiting to be sentenced, his fiancee made the post from the Jesy Nelson hit alongside a picture of her and Jarvis. On her public page, she describes herself as "engaged to Cole Jarvis".
In court, Jarvis was described as a manipulative bully who tormented Connor Lyons before killing him by the River Hull.
After the sentencing, Senior Investigating Officer in the case, Detective Chief Inspector Rhodri Troake, paid tribute to Connor and his family.
He said: "The last year has been extremely tough for the loved ones and friends of Connor. For having to hear the details of the incident at court, I commend their bravery and courage
"It is clear to see that Connor Lyons was an extremely popular young man and will continue to be missed by many.
"Connor had his whole life ahead of him before tragically, it was taken from him. I hope the sentencing provides his family and loved ones with some comfort in knowing Jarvis can no longer cause harm to anybody else."
