A golden retriever left dog lovers in floods of tears when her reaction to being adopted went viral on TikTok.
The adorable pooch, originally named Starlight, had a rough start to life and is thought to have originated from a puppy mill that wanted to use her for breeding.
But, as the video shared by shelter owner Joe Kay to his @adoptingdogs account shows, her fortunes eventually turned around.
The clip shows Joe revealing the adoption card to the dog at the Wayne County Humane Society shelter.
The goldie starts wagging her tail in excitement as Joe shares in her joy.
"Is this for you? Is this for you? Your own home, Sweetie," he says as he holds up the card.
The heart-wrenching video has since been watched more than 25 million times on the video-sharing app and many viewers confessed it had them in tears.
“Oh my heart, the way she was patiently waiting and hoping that was for her,” one wrote. “So happy for you Starlight. I hope you love your new home.”
Others were left emotional after seeing how the other dogs who weren't being picked reacted.
"They’re all cheering for her," a second said while someone else wrote: "I started crying because the other dogs are cheering for her."

Joe told Daily Star that intuitive pooches at his shelter in Wooster, Ohio, US, often get excited when they sense it is their time.
"Most of the time the dogs are very excited, first because they have these new people walking and spending time with them," he said.
"Also, because the adopters are moving towards a car (meaning they are leaving) and they just somehow know it’s their time."
Daily Star has also caught up with the dog's smitten new owner Hannah, two months after she was adopted.

She said: "I looked for at least two months for a golden retriever and applied immediately when Starlight was posted.
"I think Joe said I applied within 30 seconds. Right place at the right time."
Hannah only started looking for a pet dog when her college pals told her they felt like "soulmates" with their own beloved pooches and one even joked they'd sacrifice a kidney for their dog.
"And just like that my mission had begun to find my soulmate," she said.
Hannah adopted Starlight as soon as she could and named her Moira Rose, AKA Rosie, and they have been inseparable ever since.

Poor Rosie needed surgery when Hannah noticed her mouth bleeding and vets found a cyst, but now she is better than ever.
Hannah said: "After surgery, she was noticeably happier.
"She now sleeps through the night with her head on my pillow and actually plays tug a war!"
Part of her history is still a mystery, but Hannah reckons her friendly pooch must have had some time with a family because of her lovely temperament.
Hannah said: "I live by a school and although I do not have kids, she greets the bus driver (his name is G) on our morning walks every morning."
"She is still very gentle with her stuffed animals and likes to cuddle with them while she is sleeping.
"She also enjoys going to the beach to swim, going to volleyball games with me (she likes to get pet by everyone) and chasing bunnies.
"I thought my friends were crazy when they called their dog their soulmate but here we are and I can’t imagine life without Rosie."

Hannah also thanked Joe for his work and said: "You can tell he cares about these animals and it’s more than just a job.
"The world needs more people like that."
