Meghan and Harry not over the moon about £11m mansion and looking to sell

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly wanting to leave their £11million mansion in California as they're not "over the moon" over the impressive property.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved into the sprawling mansion 18 months ago after moving to the US from Britain in March 2020.

Harry and wife Meghan bought the luxury home in Montecito, an area of Santa Barbara County known for secluded private estates and celebrity houses.

They travelled across the Atlantic with Archie, two, and welcomed Lilibet Diana, now six months, back in June.

But The Mirror reports the pair are not thrilled about the nin-bedroom pad, which boasts a swimming pool, tennis court, and a gym.

It's claimed they don't like its location in the post neighbourhood, despite it having nearly 7.5 acres of grounds surrounding the property, with pine and cypress trees.

A source told the paper the couple have begun looking into other homes and are open to private offers if the right one should come along.

The insider claimed: "They are thinking of selling their house there. However, it won’t be on the market because of who they are. It’s only being shown to people who are confirmed with funds and are serious buyers.”

It's believed the royal couple like Montecito itself, where chat show queens Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah Winfrey both live as well as Hollywood icons like Tom Cruise from Mission Impossible.

However, they're not content with their current setup.

Our source added: “They want to stay in the neighbourhood or nearby but they aren’t over the moon about the house and the location.”

Meghan, 40, and Harry, 37, ditched Frogmore Cottage in the Windsor royal estate in the UK for the sunny Californian life when they quit royal life and stepped down as senior members of the Firm in 2020.

Princess Eugenie, 31, and husband Jack Brooksbank, 35, now live at Frogmore, and the pair welcomed their first child, son August, last February.

The Sussexes snapped up the property from Sergey Frishin in June 2020, the Russian businessman who bought the house in 2009 for almost £19m.

The home boasts nine bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, a tea house, as well as a private playground.

There is also a spa, office, library, a cinema room, games room, wine cellar, and a five-car garage.
