Poundland is opening or extending eight new stores in a pre-Christmas bargain boost.
The bargain giant is investing in creating two new "supersize stores" as well as five new stores in high streets and retail parks across the UK.
Poundland said it is preparing to get the stores ready for “Super Saturday” on December 10.

The retailer is also hiring more than 200 staff members, including 160 new roles, in preparation for the new launch.
The stores range from 3,800sq ft, serving their local neighbourhoods, to 18,000sq ft "supersize stores" offering huge ranges including dedicated PEP&CO clothing and homeware departments.
In total, the new and revamped stores will have almost 100,000 sq ft of space.

Crown Point Shopping Park, Denton, Greater Manchester
The current store will be extended to become a "supersize store" with 18,342sq ft of space over two floors and 55 staff members including 20 new recruits
Brotherhood Retail Park, Peterborough
Another "supersize store" will open in the former Outfit and H&M units, with 18,000sq ft of space and 40 colleagues including 28 new recruits.
55 Moyston Street, Llandudno, North Wales
The current store will relocate into the former M&S, with 15,000sq ft of space across two floors and 30 colleagues including 20 new recruits.
12 Rainham Shopping Centre, Rainham, Kent
A new store will open in the former Iceland, with 3,800sq ft and employing 16 staff members.
Greenbridge Retail Park, Swindon, Wiltshire
A new store will open in the former Argos, with almost 7,000sq ft and 15 staff members.
Aylesbury Shopping Park, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
A new store will open in the former Argos, with more than 14,000-plus sq ft and 15 staff members
11 Unity Walk, Tipton, West Midlands
A new store will open in the former Co-op, with 8,000sq ft, and 16 staff members.
Rushmere Retail Park, Craigavon, Northern Ireland
A new store will open in a former Menary’s, with 14,500sq ft over two floors and 32 staff members.
