The Queen, along with the rest of the Royal Family, has wished Archie happy birthday as he turns two.

"Wishing Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a very happy 2nd birthday today," the official @RoyalFamily Twitter account posted on Thursday morning, along with a balloon emoji.

The adorable post was accompanied by a photo of Archie as a newborn with his parents Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

Thousands of fans have already liked and retweeted the post, with many adding their own birthday wishes for the youngster.

Archie will celebrate his birthday in California just as he did his first birthday following the Sussexes' move across the Atlantic early last year.

He'll soon have another reason to celebrate as he becomes a big brother, with Meghan due to give birth to her second child in the summer.

While dad Harry made a trip to the UK last month for Prince Philip's funeral, neither Archie nor Meghan has been back since the family relocated to California in early 2020.

Their move, which came just as international travel was being grounded at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, came after Harry and Meghan announced they would be stepping down as working royals.
