A thug filmed himself beating his ex-girlfriend's dog and sent her the grim footage over Snapchat.
Brendan Brown threw a series of vicious punches and slaps at defenceless terrier, Luna's head on April 6 2021.
The 20-year-old admitted at Perth Sheriff Court on Tuesday, to sending the horrific video to both his former partner and her mum.
During the clip, Brown of Coupar Angus, Perthshire, also makes violent threats to the recipients.
He admitted to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner which was likely to cause fear or alarm but denied a second charge of causing the dog unnecessary suffering by repeatedly punching and slapping it on the head.
The Crown accepted the not guilty plea, The Sun reports.
In a tirade of abuse over Snapchat, Brown repeatedly swore at his ex and her mother while wildly threatening them with violence in addition to the video of harming Luna.
Fiscal depute Jill Drummond said the court would ask Brown's victim for their views on his punishment – most likely a non-harassment order – before he returns to court next month for sentencing.
