Trump ‘knows more’ about Kim Jong-un’s death than he is willing to let on, says insider

In a revealing interview with Fox Business Mr Keane admitted that the US knows more than they are willing to let on, and it is unlikely that Kim is shielding from the coronavirus. He said: “The US administration knows more than they want to talk to us about.”

The intelligence insider added: “It is likely [Kim] is alive because Trump is wishing him well, and Pompeo is saying they are monitoring his whereabouts. They wouldn’t say that if he was dead.

“It is likely there is something fundamentally wrong. I doubt he is just trying to hide from the coronavirus because he could still be seen doing that.

“In North Korea, they are paranoid about showing any piece of weakness – not just to the world, but even their own population.

“Even having an illness is a weakness to them. Any visible sign that things are not right, they will try to protect,”

It comes as rumours have swirled in the past week that the dictator of North Korea had died following complications from heart surgery.

Questions first arose as to where the leader might be, after he failed to attend his grandfather’s birthday celebration on April 15 which is the more important day in the North Korean calendar.

Kim has not been witnessed in public since April 11 and his closest aides have remained hushed about his whereabouts.

It has previously been reported that Kim had undergone heart surgery on April 12 and collapsing on a walk.

One Japanese newspaper had claimed the leader was in a vegetative state and another had said he had been informed by a “solid source” that he has died.

However, one North Korean journalist, posted a social media post that he had zero trust in the reports.

He wrote: “The health of the Kim family is the secret among secrets.”

A former North Korean diplomat, Yong-ho said it wan unlikely that Kim’s health status had been disclosed by his trusted aides.

President Trump has also said that he believes Kim Jong is alive and well.

He said on Monday in a press conference that he had a “very good idea” what had happened to Kim

“I can’t tell you exactly. Yes I do have a very good idea,” confirmed Trump.

“But I can’t talk about it, I just wish him well. I’ve had a very good relationship with Kim Jong-un.”

However, Secretary of State Mr Pompeo admitted that he hadn’t seen Kim.

He told Fox News on Wednesday: “We haven’t seen him. We don’t have any information to report today, we’re watching it closely.

“There is a real risk that there will be a famine, a food shortage, inside of North Korea too.

“We’re watching each of those things closely, as they have a real impact on our mission set, which to ultimately denuclearise North Korea.”

During the 1900’s Korea suffered from a devastating famine that killed hundreds of thousands of North Koreans.

It has remained a secret who would take over Kim’s position if he died, but many have suggested that it could be his sister, Kim Yo-Jong.

In recent photos from April 23, Kim’s train is pictured near his Wonsan holiday complex.
