“Later on, some heavy showers across parts of the Midlands and Wales.

“Dry and brightest in the south temperatures reaching 22C (71.6F), possibly 23C (73.4F) in the sunshine but feeling cooler further north.”
For the next week “cooler, wetter weather” is forecast.
There are currently no weather warnings in place for the next week.
The same is true for flood warnings.
This includes both regular and severe warnings.
However, eight flood alerts in England are in place.
These are concentrated to the west of London.
There may be groundwater flooding in the Alton area, High Wycombe area, Lambourn Valley catchment, Salisbury Plain area and West Ilsley, East Ilsley, Compton, Chilton and West Hagbourne.
Alerts are also in place for the River Coln and its tributaries, the River Kennett and its tributaries from Berwick Bassett down to Newsbury and the River Whitewater and River Hart.
On Saturday, the Met Office tweeted: “As well as turning more unsettled over the next few days, we’ll notice a drop in #temperature, particularly across England and Wales.”
Other the weekend, the Department of Health and Social Care continued to sign off tweets with #StayHomeSaveLives.

n spite of the positive weather, Britons are still encouraged to stay home due to coronavirus.
Leaving home is to only be permitted for essential business.
This includes buying food and for health reasons, helping vulnerable people and work if you cannot work from home.
There is also a permitted one exercise per day.
However, once out, social distancing applies.
Britons are advised to stay more than two metres apart from others.
Even when lockdown measures are eased, this limit is expected to remain in place for the foreseeable future.
This may have to continue until a vaccine becomes available.
The coronavirus death toll in the UK has now exceeded 20,000.
