Vincent van Gough painting stolen from museum in daring late-night heist

A piece by Vincent van Gogh has been stolen from a museum on coronavirus lockdown.

Thieves broke into the Singer Laren museum last night in a daring raid at around 3am.

The item stolen is said to be the canvas "Spring Garden, the rectory garden in Nuenen in the spring of 1884".

According to reports it was stolen in the early hours of this morning, at around 3.15am.

It is not known if any other items were stolen during the robbery.

It is understood thieves accessed the museum by forcing open the glass front door.

The museum was closed at the time, and the painting was being loaned to the museum.
