Westminster police issue safety advisory after three attempted sexual assaults in one neighborhood

Westminster police issued a safety advisory over the weekend after three attempted sexual assaults occurred in the same neighborhood.

The incidents occurred between July 4 and July 9, police said in a Sunday news release. They included a woman being touched from behind near 123rd Avenue and Bannock Street; another woman being attacked in the 300 block of 123rd Avenue; and a man spotted masturbating on an apartment balcony in the 700 block of 123rd Avenue.

Police believe the suspect in the attempted assaults is a man in his mid-20s, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-7 tall with a faded haircut and medium build. He was wearing a bandana with a clean cut at the time of the incidents, police said.

Authorities are encouraging pedestrians to walk in pairs in the area, and to call 303-658-4360 with any information.
