The shooting rampage broke out in Wang Nam Khieo district of north-east Thailand at 11:25pm. A house there was the scene of Saturday’s (November 25) wedding party for Chaturong Suksuk, 29 and Kanchana Pachunthuek, 44, but it ended in tragedy.

According to the Bangkok Post, guests are understood to have noticed that Chaturong, a former paramilitary ranger and Paralympic athlete, had appeared displeased, a detail they informed investigators of afterwards. Local media reported that the couple had an argument during the wedding, eventually leading to Chaturong heading out to his car to grab a pistol.
