Some people travel all the way to Australia, but for those who want to go even further, there is a city that can provide the ultimate long-distance travel thrill.<\/p>\n
Dunedin, New Zealand, is a whopping 30 hours from London. The city sits in the south east of the country and is the furthest possible distance from the UK.<\/p>\n
According to estimates, it can take around a day and a half to travel from the UK\u2019s capital to this picturesque part of the southern hemisphere.<\/p>\n
While the city can provide some affordable sites, the flights to get there can seem stratospherically costly.<\/p>\n

According to the Guinness World Records, the road has a gradient of 34.8 percent.<\/p>\n They added: \u201cFor the purpose of this record the measurement is taken from the centre line of the street.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Alongside the world\u2019s steepest street, Dunedin is home to New Zealand\u2019s oldest university and several iconic historic buildings.<\/p>\n This includes Larnach Castle, Olveston Historic Home, the Tuhuira Otago Museum, and the Dunedin Gas Works.<\/p>\n On the Tuhura Otago Museum, the official Dunedin website said: \u201cIt’s like time travel. See what a classic museum looked like during Victorian times in the \u2018Animal Attic\u2019.<\/p>\n \u201cThen just a few steps away, artefacts from ancient Greece and Egypt and examples of seafaring derring-do will absorb you before the fantastical treats of the science centre and planetarium bounce you into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
