Russian soldiers heading to the frontline will now be taught how to “survive” war amidst reports Russia has continued to experience heavy losses in Ukraine.

A new report from US intelligence released this week estimated nearly 90 percent of personnel Moscow sent to fight since February 2022 was either killed or injured in action.

The casualties have now prompted the Russian Army to roll out a new course during training in the hope of equipping troops with the means to survive high-intensity operations.

According to Vladimir Putin-aligned paper Izvetia, the army will shift its focus on teaching new techniques “to help soldiers survive in difficult situations.”

The report said the updated teaching strategy will primarely apply on troops engaged in what Putin dubbed his “special military operation.
