A Birmingham Airport passenger will be gutted to return from their holiday to see their van had been seized while they were on their trip.
The Solihull-based airport will be the scene of disappointment for one returning holidaymaker, whose van was seized. Updates from Birmingham Police confirmed it was removed due to an issue with where the driver had chosen to park.
Birmingham Airport Police took to X, formerly Twitter, and confirmed an incident involving the van had been resolved in the early hours of Tuesday (October 17) morning. The force said the van was moved because of the restricted area the van was parked in.

A picture shared from the scene at 5am this morning (October 17), confirmed the vehicle had been moved as it was parked in a restricted bay. The vehicle had blocked one of the arrivals areas for the airport, BirminghamLive reported, and police believe it was to try and "save money".
Officers even suggested the vehicle had been left there by the driver in an "attempt to save money". Said driver, who has not been named, was reportedly shocked to see their vehicle had been removed from the area.
A Birmingham Police spokesperson said: "In an attempt to save some ยฃ's this driver decided to park in a restricted area and go on holiday! Vehicle seized!" Regular patrols from the "Project Servator" operation are undertaken by Birmingham Airport Police to check for lawbreakers in the area.
Regular updates from the force show incidents in the area which are sighted by foot patrols. The van incident proved to be a popular post from the team, with over 3,000 views on the image shared by Birmingham Police.
It is not the only vehicle-related incidents to occur today, with a pram launched into the air as a driver sped down the wrong side of the road. The Daily Star reported the grim incident which saw a 13-month-old baby thrown into the air.
Rajdeep Kur, 37, had been pushing her youngster in a pram in Hounslow before a car crashed into the pair. A reckless driver was caught on CCTV ramming into the duo.
Ms Kur has been left unable to care independently for her daughter but miraculously survived the horror crash. She will never make a full recovery from her injuries and was left with extremely limited mobility.
