A Russian solider has claimed to be the one who destroyed the UK's feared Challenger 2 tank in Ukraine. . . and insists he did it with “one shot”.

The £4.2million beast was labelled a “death machine” by industry experts just hours before it was later seen in a fiery ball of flames on the battlefield last week.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak promised to send the tanks to Ukraine in January.

According to the Ministry of Defence, the tanks are the UK's main battle tanks, built to destroy other tanks.

However, the first one used in battle was destroyed shortly after arriving in the country.

A video of the tank in tatters somewhere in the small village of Rabotino, in the Voskresenskoye Rural Settlement in Ukraine, was shared on the Wagner-affiliated Grey Zone Telegram group.

And now the same Telegram channel has shared a video of a Russian soldier claiming that he was the one who blew the tank apart, and it was all done with just one shot.

The man is supposedly from the 108th regiment of the Seventh Guards.

In the clip, the man is wearing a thick face mask and full army gear.

Only part of is able to be translated using Google Translate in which he explained that the united “noticed that the equipment was moving forward.”

The Grey Zone post confirms that the man states that he blew the tank up “with one shot” and clarifies that he used a 9M133 Kornet missile to do so.

The equipment is a Russian-made portable anti-tank guided missiles built specifically to destroy battle tanks.

It has been used by the Russian army since 1998, and has a 10lb warhead costing around £20k per missile which is guided by lasers.

The UK has sent 14 Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine, despite the fact the British Army only had 157 of them before doing so.
