Man shouts Im part of Hamas before committing horror sex attack on train

Police were called onto a train in the city of Zaragoza, Spain, after a man alarmed passengers by declaring himself to be ‘a member of Hamas’ before allegedly going on to commit a horrifying sex attack on a woman.
 
The incident saw the train, which was carrying 400 people, delayed for 40 minutes on Sunday, October 15 as police boarded to arrest the man.

The train was heading to Pamploma but got as far as the town on Gallur where, according to Spanish media reports, the man began to threaten fellow passengers and ‘thrust his genitals’ in the faces of two women.

Police arrested the alleged perpetrator, a Moroccan national, and he is due to appear in court.

The incident comes amid a flare-up in ethnoreligious tensions globally following the ongoing situation in the Middle East between Israel, Hamas and Hezbollah.

Israeli airstrikes have been carried out on Gaza following devastating Hamas attacks on Saturday, October 7, which resulted in the death of 1,400 Israelis – the majority of them civilians.

Palestinian factions also seized more than one hundred hostages including women and children who remain held in Gaza.

The latest death toll in Gaza stands at over 2,700 people.

Israel and Hamas continue to exchange airstrikes and rocket fire amid a backdrop of frantic international diplomacy and back-channel talks aimed at de-escalation.

International aid groups have warned that the Israeli military operation is putting increased strain on Gaza’s already dire humanitarian situation.
